LOS ANGELES
United States (US) President Barack Obama cancelled plans to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow next month.
A top White House official said Obama would attend G20 summit in St. Petersburg, Russia, but he had no plans to hold one-on-one talks with Putin while there.
Obama, instead of visiting Putin in Moscow, would add Sweden to his early September travel itinerary.
The decision is assumed as an US anger over Russia's receiving temporary asylum request of National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden and on other key issues like missile defense and human rights.
