Three people were killed when a Spanish military plane crash Saturday afternoon, local emergency services reported.
The Airbus A400M Atlas cargo plane crashed near Seville airport shortly after take-off. The aircraft was undergoing a test flight.
Spanish daily El Pais quoted Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy as saying there were eight to 10 on board. However, in a later statement emergency services said there were seven on board and three were killed. Two were seriously injured and another two were unaccounted for.
In a statement, Airbus said the plane had been "foreseen" for a "Turkish client."
Seville's San Pablo airport was closed after the crash.
