ANKARA
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu met South Sudan's Chief Negotiator Pagan Amum in Ankara on Tuesday.
Amum, who is the chief negotiator in ongoing talks between South Sudan and Sudan, said that they considered Turkey as an important partner.
Davutoglu and Amum also discussed the situation in South Sudan as well as Turkey-South Sudan relations and ongoing talks between South Sudan and Sudan.
Davutoglu said that South Sudan had a strategic location in African continent, and added that Turkey attached importance in relations with South Sudan which recently declared its independence.
Noting that Turkey was ready to make cooperation in every area, Davutoglu said that Turkey's regional and global foreign policy vision was based on peace and stability.
