Spain's annual inflation down to 7.3% in October

ANKARA

Spain's annual consumer inflation fell for the third consecutive month in October, according to data released by the National Statistics Institute (INE) on Tuesday.

Consumer prices in October increased 7.3% year-on-year, down from 8.9% in September, thanks to decrease in energy prices.

Price growth also decreased in housing and utilities (2.6% in October versus 14.2% in September), transport (8.8% from 9.4%), and clothing and footwear (1.4% from 3.9%).

On a monthly basis, the Consumer Prices Index increased 0.3% in October.
