Jordan reports record daily COVID-19 infections
More than 2,000 new cases take tally over 28,100

AMMAN
As many as 18 new coronavirus fatalities raised the death toll in Jordan to 255, the Health Ministry said Tuesday.
A total of 2,054 additional infections recorded in the past 24 hours, the highest single-day rise since the beginning of the pandemic, pushed the count to 28,127, according to a statement.
More than 6,766 patients have recovered.
Government spokesman Ali Al Ayed said Jordan will impose a two-day curfew beginning from Friday to stem the spread of the virus.
