ISTANBUL
The official visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif to Turkey, originally scheduled for Tuesday, was postponed due to time constraints, said Zarif on Thursday.
"President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was in Istanbul; Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu were in Ankara. It is not possible to hold these three meetings in a short period of time," Zarif told Lebanese daily As-Safir.
Speaking in a live interview aired on Haber Turk on Thursday, Cavusoglu said: "It is possible to postpone due to a busy diplomatic agenda."
After the postponement, Zarif visited Lebanon, Syria and Pakistan.
