Iran’s Foreign Minister Jawad Zarif hopes that talks on Saturday regarding the country's nuclear energy program will result in removing partial sanctions.
Sweden’s Foreign Minister Carl Bildt, on his first official visit to Iran as the foreign minister, held a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart Zarif, who said both parties agree on maintaining the process of Iran nuclear talks.
Bildt said the agreement is "more important than anything" and that "the process must be continued".
Zarif added that Iran has always seen the sanctions as unreasonable, despite the concern of some U.S. officials, as it has led to food and medicine shortages, causing the Iranian people to have a pessimistic attitude against the U.S and the West.
“Negotiations should result in the removal of all sanctions,’’ Zarif said.
