Turkish tennis player says good bye to Australian Open

ANKARA 

Turkish tennis player Basak Eraydin was eliminated in the first qualifying round of the 2020 Australian Open on Thursday.

The U.S.' Varvara Lepchenko beat Eraydin 6-1, 6-1 in women's singles in Melbourne.

Another Turkish female tennis player Pemra Ozgen said good bye to the Australian Open in the first qualifying round after beaten by Spain’s Aliona Bolsova on Tuesday.

The qualifying rounds are taking place between Jan. 14-18 while the tournament will be held in Melbourne from Jan. 20 to Feb. 2.
