Supporters of the PKK terror group on Monday targeted Turkey's consulate in Bordeaux, southwest France.
A diplomatic source told Anadolu Agency that 50 protesters with pro-PKK placards gathered in front of the consulate. One demonstrator climbed the front of the building and raised a PKK flag.
French police dispersed the crowd at around 11 a.m. local time (1000GMT) after the protest turned violent.
The source, who did not want to be named for security reasons, said French and Turkish authorities were trying to identify the perpetrators.
The PKK is listed as a terror organization also by the EU and the U.S. The group resumed its terror campaign against the Turkish state last July following a two-and-a-half year lull in the 30-year conflict.
Since then, more than 250 members of the security forces have been martyred and thousands of PKK terrorists killed in operations across Turkey and northern Iraq.
