A fire broke out at the Kirkuk-Yumurtalik Oil Pipeline in Midyat town of the south-eastern province of Mardin on late Friday due to sabotage.
The fire took place after a blast at the oil pipeline. Fire crews immediately came to the site to extinguish the fire.
Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA), the Governor of Mardin, Turhan Ayvaz said that a sabotage was staged against the Kirkuk-Yumurtalik Oil Pipeline in Midyat.
"We have cut off the flow of oil in the pipeline. There were no casualties in the blast. Fire crews came to the site to extinguish the fire," Ayvaz said.
An investigation was launched on the pipeline blast.
Oil flow will resume once repairs have been completed on Kirkuk-Yumurtalik Oil Pipeline
The Governor of the south-eastern province of Mardin, Turhan Ayvaz said on Saturday that oil flow would resume once the Kirkuk-Yumurtalik Oil Pipeline got repaired.
A blast took place at the pipeline in Midyat town on late Friday due to a sabotage.
Fire crews were dispatched to the area to extinguish the fire which erupted as a result of the sabotage.
Tight security measures have been taken in the region.
