Turkey's state-run aid agency has provided a “mobile library” to a foundation in Myanmar in an effort to boost educational efforts in the country.

In a written statement, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) said Myanmar's Daw Khin Kyi Foundation was given a “mobile library” equipped with steel shelfs and laptops with internet access.

The Myanmarese foundation, which was found in 2012 started the “mobile library project” in 2013 to contribute to the education in the country.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, the foundation's board member, Thant Thaw Kaung, praised Turkey’s assistance in the field of education and said she would be pleased to further cooperate with TIKA.

The mobile library is expected to be installed in northern Kachin State of Myanmar.
