International public relation experts from around the globe met in Istanbul for Global PR Summit 3 to discuss issues such as public perception and social media on Thursday.
Anadolu Agency-sponsored Global PR Summit attracted numerous PR experts including cx-strategy.com founder Egmont Philips who delivered the opening speech of the event.
“If the reputation is good, the value of a company is higher,” he said. “Over 50 percent of perception is defined by the media, including social media.”
“It is very important to really know our audience, what values they have,” Ozlem Oz, Google Turkey communications director said.
“We should consider digital not as an independent and limited field but as a current phase of the social change we have been experiencing since the machine age,” added Excel -- another partner of the event -- communication and perception management chief Figen Isbir.
Global PR Summit is Turkey's biggest international PR event. The summit is being held on Feb. 25-26 at the historical Pera Palace Hotel in Istanbul.
