Turkey registers almost 100,000 vehicles in April
Number of registered vehicles on Turkey's roads reaches 21.5M, according to official data

ANKARA
The number of vehicles registered in Turkey decreased by 7.2 percent year-on-year in April to reach 99,260, according to the country's statistics authority on Tuesday.
The total number of road motor vehicles registered was around 21.5 million by the end of April, the Turkish Statistical Institute announced.
In April, automobiles accounted for most new registrations -- 55 percent (54,535) -- a decrease of 16 percent compared to the same month last year.
In terms of distribution of model brands for new registered cars in the month:
Fifteen-point-four percent were Renault; 11.2 percent Volkswagen; 8.9 percent Fiat; 8.2 percent Hyundai; 7.1 percent Opel; 5.9 percent Dacia; 5.6 percent Ford; 4.7 percent Honda; 4.7 percent Peugeot; 4.2 percent Toyota; and other brands accounted for 24 percent.
In the first four months of the year the number of registered motor vehicles rose by two percent compared to the same period last year, to 395,815, TurkStat added.
