Turkish industrial production rose slightly in February, driven largely by improvements in the mining and manufacturing sectors, the Turkish Statistical Institute said Friday.
Industrial production - the measure of output in manufacturing, utilities and mining - rose 5.8 percent in February against the same month in 2015. The increase on the previous month was 0.5 percent.
Mining production rose 7.7 percent year-on-year while manufacturing saw a 6.2 percent year-on-year increase. The power and air conditioning supply sectors witnessed a 2.6 percent rise.
