Ukraine has honored a Turkish agency for its charitable activities in the country.

The Association of Charities of Ukraine has awarded the Turkish Coordination and Cooperation Agency (TIKA) for the second time in the category of "Aid from Abroad" in the annual competition "Charitable Ukraine".

The ceremony was held in Kiev on March 22.

TIKA’s coordinator of Ukranian program, Haci Bayram Bolat reminded the audience that Turkey was listed number one in aid provided in relation to its annual GDP.

TIKA won the same award last year. Since 1997, TIKA has implemented 500 various projects in the country for a budget of $44 million.
