Colonel Alexander Kharaberiush dies in 'terrorist' attack in Mariupoli in Donetsk region

ANKARA
An officer of Ukraine's Security Service died in a car explosion early Friday in the southeastern Mariupoli city, local media reported.
Colonel Alexander Kharaberiush was killed when the car blew up at around 8.30 a.m. local time (0530GMT), Interfax-Ukraine said, quoting the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Hrytsak.
Hrytsak promised that the guilty would be punished.
According to Interfax-Ukraine, the public prosecutor's office in the Donetsk region called the car bombing a "terrorist act".
An investigation is underway, it added.
