ANKARA
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu paid a visit to wounded Palestinian people in a hospital in Turkish capital of Ankara on Thursday.
Davutoglu visited Bashil al-Shawwa and his wife Mona al-Shawwa who lost their daughter in Israeli attacks on Gaza. Mona al-Shawwa and other wounded Palestinians are receiving medical treatment at Yildirim Beyazit Hospital.
On November 21, 2012, Davutoglu paid a visit to Gaza. During his visit to wounded people at al-Shifa Hospital, Davutoglu met the relatives of Palestinians who had lost their lives. The minister cried as he hugged Bashil al-Shawwa in Gaza.
Visiting them in Ankara, Davutoglu told al-Shawwa family that he was very sorry and he felt their pain.
Al-Shawwa thanked Davutoglu for his support and said, "We are a small family but you're a big man. What has happened there (in Gaza) was seen by whole world thanks to you. We feel that Turkish people are standing by us."
Davutoglu said that he visited Gaza not as a minister but as a father and brother.
The foreign minister said that all needs of Palestinians receiving treatment would be met.
