OSCE contact detained observers in Ukraine

The OSCE said in a written statement that communication was lost with the four observers, a Donetsk-based team, on Monday at 5 pm Turkish time.

VIENNA 

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe has announced Wednesday that they have managed to contact the 11 observers kidnapped in Donetsk.

In a previous statement the organization said that three vehicles carrying the 11 observers had been blocked en route to the city of Marinka in the Donetsk Oblast.

Chairmanship for Turkish People Living Abroad, said that the kidnapped observers, included people from Denmark, Estonia and Switzerland as well as Turkish citizen, Memet Kilic, and expressed hopes that they would soon be released.
