At least 10 people, including four soldiers and a journalist, were killed Thursday in multiple bomb attacks across Iraq, according to an army officer.

Maj. Nawfal al-Zamili told Anadolu Agency that five people were killed and 19 others wounded in bombings at public places in Baghdad’s southeastern neighborhoods of Jisr Diyala and Nahrawan, eastern neighborhood of Hayy Ur and southwestern neighborhood of Hayy Al-A'amel.

A separate suicide attack at a military checkpoint in Tarmiyah, north of Baghdad, killed four soldiers and wounded nine others, Zamili added.

Meanwhile, Journalistic Freedoms Observatory, an Iraqi media watchdog, released a statement saying a photojournalist was killed, and a correspondent was wounded in a separate attack blamed on Daesh in southern Mosul district of Qayyarah.

Ali Mahmoud, a photojournalist at the private television network al-Qadir was killed by a rocket, the statement said, identifying the wounded correspondent as Ali Jawad from the Iraqi state television.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
