The Iranian authorities have detained an Iranian female journalist and a film director for as-yet-unknown reasons, local media reported Tuesday.

Zeinab Karimyan and Saleh Daldam were arrested by Iranian intelligence officers last week, Iran’s Ghalame website, which supports Iran’s reformist trend, reported Tuesday.

"The reasons for Karimyan’s arrest remain unknown until now," Iran’s semi-official Mehr press agency reported.

According to the same news agency, public prosecutors in Tehran decided to arrest Daldam last month for allegedly "working to the detriment of national security and employing propaganda against the government".
