Israeli troops injure 15 Palestinians in West Bank
Incident occurred when group of Jews entered Jericho to visit historic synagogue

JERICHO, Palestine
Fifteen Palestinians were injured Monday in the West Bank when Israeli soldiers fired rubber bullets, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent.
In a written statement, the humanitarian aid organization said the incident occurred in Ain al-Sultan refugee camp in the city of Jericho. It said three others were affected by tear gas.
According to eye witnesses, the clashes erupted when a group of Jews entered the city under the protection of Israeli troops to pray at an historic synagogue.
