Kuwait said Sunday its border guards have arrested ten Iranian “infiltrators” trying to sneak illegally into the Gulf country.
The Interior Ministry said in a statement that the ten Iranians had tried to infiltrate into the country by sea via the coastal region of Abul-Hasaniyah, the official Kuwaiti News Agency reported.
The statement said that coast guards had chased the infiltrators to the shore.
The ministry said that the Iranian captain confessed that the passengers had left the boat to shore.
According to the statement, one of the infiltrators was injured after he refused to obey orders to surrender.
