Turkish warplanes destroyed four PKK terrorist targets in northern Iraq on Tuesday, according to the military.
In a statement, the Turkish Armed Forces said warplanes had targeted the Zap region, destroying several terrorist shelters.
Turkish jets have been carrying out airstrikes against PKK positions across the border in Iraq, since the group – considered a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and the EU – resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in July last year.
Since then, more than 300 civilians and nearly 800 security personnel have been martyred. Around 8,000 PKK terrorists have been killed or apprehended.
