Somali scholars call on Turkey to mediate talks between Somali government and Al-Shabaab

The Council of Somali Scholars called to mediate talks between the Somali government and Al-Shabaab organization.
Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA), the Chairman of the Council of Somali Scholars, Bashir Salad said that "everyone knows Turkey is the only country which makes serious efforts for humanitarian and Islamic works in Somalia."
"I believe that Turkey, as a strong state, can find solutions to Somalia's problems," Salad said.
"Negotiating with the Al-Shabaab organization carries high importance and is not a difficult thing. Solving the crisis through peaceful and diplomatic means is possible," Salad also said.
