Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag also underlined that friendship between Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Kosovo was very old.

Speaking at a reception hosted by the Kosovar Ambassador in Ankara Avni Spahiu on Friday to mark the fifth anniversary of Kosovo's independence, Bekir Bozdag stressed that "while Kosovo may be a young country and Turkey has more seniority as an older republic, the brotherhood between the peoples are older than both Turkey and Kosovo."
Also speaking at the reception, Kosovar Minister of Public Administration Mahir Jagcilar said that friendly countries had a great role in the success of Kosovo.
"One of these most important friends is the Republic of Turkey," Jagcilar indicated.
Ambassador Spahiu, in his part, said that they made important political and economic progress in the past five years.
