Arab tourists explore Turkey

Yalova

Arab tourists show great interest in Turkey's northwestern province of Yalova where they can enjoy the sea as well as the thermal spring.
Mayor of Termal town Ismail Atik told Anadolu Agency that both domestic and foreign tourists prefer the Termal town of Yalova, adding that they expected a great increase in the number of tourists this season.
Termal, a thermal spring only 11 kilometers away from downtown Yalova, is worth seeing says Atik, and added, most of the foreign tourists arrived from United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar.
"In the past three years, we had a growing number of Arab tourists visiting the Termal town. In 2011, 179,000 tourists stayed over and this rose to 530,000 in 2012. We target one million tourists for the year of 2013. A mini Arab world gets formed in the town. This especially took place after the Middle East process was initiated by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan," said Atik.
He noted that Arab tourists were much more beneficial for the district's development as they were spending more than European tourists.
He said that Arab tourists travelled even with their baby sitters.
