A group who protested the incidents occurred in Turkey's southeastern town of Lice in Diyarbakir province, held a demonstration in Turkey's southeastern province of Hakkari on Monday night.

A group of people who wore masks built barricades in the city's ring road and lit a fire during the protest late at night, sources said.

Police teams who arrived to the spot  interfered in by using tear gas and water cannons as they were attacked by petrol bombs, stones and fireworks by the group.

Protestors who fled to the alleys came together at the Pehlivan neighbourhood again and set a three storey building on fire. The fire spread to the buildings nearby in short time.

Fire brigades and police vehicles with water cannons tried to quench the fire and later on the fire was taken under control.

In Lice district of Diyarbakir, a protest against the construction of a security building last week had turned violent and a demonstrator was killed.
