ANKARA
An Ankara court Tuesday issued arrest warrants for 48 PKK/PYD members, including several senior figures, over a terrorist attack in Ankara this February that killed 29 people.
The court is seeking the arrest of Remzi Kartal and Zubeyir Aydar, said to be senior members of the PKK in Europe, over the attack, said a source in the judiciary, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on talking to the media.
The source added that the court also issued arrest warrants for senior PKK terrorist figures such as Murat Karayilan, Cemil Bayik, and Fehman Huseyin, as well as Salih Muslim, the leader of the PYD, the PKK's Syrian affiliate.
The deadly Feb.17 blast took place during evening rush hour, near both the Turkish General Staff and parliament buildings in the Turkish capital.
The attack killed 29 people, and 15 suspects were later arrested in connection with the attack.
