BAGHDAD
20 Daesh militants were killed in clashes with security forces in Iraq's western Anbar province on Sunday, military sources said.
20 terrorists were killed in the clashes that erupted in the central city of Al-Karmah, located 16 km northeast of Fallujah in Anbar province, according to a statement issued by the Baghdad Operations Command.
Security forces also destroyed 61 explosives, two vehicles loaded with machine guns, a bomb-laden vehicle, two motorcycles and leveled four militant centers, the statement said.
Meanwhile, six people were killed and 25 others wounded in multiple bomb attacks in Baghdad, security sources said.
In one of them, three people were killed, and six injured when a bomb went off in the southern neighborhood of Dora.
A second bomb attack near a shopping center in Bab al-Sham, a region in the north of the capital, killed two and wounded 12 others, while one person was killed and seven wounded in a third attack in the northern neighborhood of Atifiyah.
Separately, three bodies were found in Dora. The people, who were apparently shot to death, have not been identified yet, security sources said.
Clashes between Iraqi forces and Daesh have been ongoing since June 2014 when the armed group seized Mosul and other territories in Iraq.
