COX'S BAZAR (AA) - August 1, 2012 - Rohingya Muslims representative in Bangladesh, Noor Hussain has called for international assistance for Rohingya Muslims who stay in camps alongside Bangladesh border with Myanmar after fleeing incidents of violence in the Arakan region of Myanmar. 

Speaking to AA correspondent on Wednesday, Hussain said that the regime in Myanmar set the people against each other, adding that people in the country have been living in peace for centuries. 
Noting the regime in the country killed more than 30,000 Muslims, Hussain called on international community to take immediate action over the issue.
"Muslims in Myanmar are in need of food and water. We would like international community and Muslim brothers to assist us. Please save the Muslim brothers from tyrants in Arakan," said Hussain.
Hussain stated that security forces were killing the Muslims and raping the women.
Defining the developments in the country as intolerable, Hussein also stated that Myanmar soldiers took away children to unknown places, put the murdered people in mass graves and covered them with concrete.
"Our people lost their dignity, international community should draw attention to this region and condemn Myanmar authorities. We have not received sufficient aid, we are in need of financial, spiritual and psychological support," said Hussain.
