COX'S BAZAR
Anadolu Agency (AA) teams displayed Rohingya Muslims who escaped from violence in Arakan state of Myanmar and took shelter in Bangladesh.
AA teams, which earlier displayed the tragedy of Rohingya Muslims at camps in Cox's Bazar region in Bangladesh, this time witnessed their difficult travel to pass Naf River secretly which is a border between Bangladesh and Myanmar.
The teams arrived in Teknaf city, passed rice fields and marshes, and reached Naf River, and then Arakan region by boats.
Tens of Muslims, including children and women, did not take any belongings with them, and made a dangerous travel in order to escape from pressure and violence.
A woman told AA that Muslims were tortured and acted inhumanely, and she asked for help, while another Arakan Muslim boy said that Buddhists and security forces in Arakan attacked Muslims violently. He said they beat, hurt and killed the children.
Another Muslim told AA team that they were escaping in order to stay alive.
