A Turkish athlete, Ahmet Arslan, has won the gold medal second time in a row in running up on the Ski-jumping slope at the "Red Bull 400" race in Slovenia on September 22-23.

ANKARA 

A Turkish athlete, Ahmet Arslan, has won the gold medal second time in a row in running up on the Ski-jumping slope at the "Red Bull 400" race in Slovenia on September 22-23. 
Set record as being the 6th time winner of the European mountain running championships, Arslan run up for the championship on a 400-meter-long, 37-degree-sliding slope platform on which ski jumpers do "flying" down, in 5 minutes and 2 seconds.
Arslan, also the winner of grand prix for two times and sponsored by Red Bull, told AA correspondent on Tuesday that he had been attending the games since last year and he was proud to listen to the Turkish National Anthem at the end.
He said that he was selected among 200 athletes and competed with 49 others as the only Turkish athlete in the race. 
Arslan said that running on the ski jumping platform was a very innovative and interesting idea made by Red Bull and enjoyed being a part of it.
Arslan became first ever Turkish athlete to attend the Empire State Building Run Up in New York this year. He finished the stair climbing race 7th.
