ISTANBUL

Istanbul police detained 31 Daesh suspects in an anti-terror operation on Friday.

Police sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media, told Anadolu Agency that 31 suspects out of 41 have been detained as part of an investigation against the Daesh terrorist organization.

Arrest warrants were issued by the Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office for the 41 suspects for "being a member of an armed terrorist organization".

Istanbul police took the 31 Daesh suspects to a police station. A search for the other 10 wanted suspects continues.
