Only 20 percent of Russian airstrikes targeted Daesh: Report
Syrian Network for Human Rights says Russia killed 570 civilians, including 152 children, since it launched its air campaign in support of Assad regime

The Syrian Network for Human Rights said in a new report that Russia killed 583 people, including 570 civilians, since it launched its air campaign to support the Assad regime in September.
The Tuesday report entitled “They [Russians] Came to Kill Us” said the death toll includes 152 children and 60 women.
The U.K.-based network said that only 27 out of Russia’s approximately 138 airstrikes targeted areas under Daesh control, with the majority of air raids pounding opposition-held areas.
The group also said that Russian warplanes targeted at least 16 schools, 11 medical facilities, 10 mosques, eight industrial structures and dozens of opposition headquarters used to fight the Syrian regime and Daesh.
At least 250,000 people have been killed since the Syria conflict began in 2011, according to UN figures.
