Five thousand copies were handed out to crowds outside President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s residence in Istanbul’s Kisikli neighborhood.
Minute by Minute, FETO’s Coup Attempt is a collection of the stories written by the agency’s correspondents as they followed events unfolding on the evening of Friday July 15 and for the next five days.
As well as providing a chronological record, the book also details some of the 246 martyrs who died resisting the overthrow of the government in Ankara and Istanbul as well as striking images captured by Anadolu Agency photographers.
“It is a great document and evidence,” Esra Nur Simsek said after receiving her copy. “With this book, no one can forget the 15 July coup attempt.” Serkan Kose said the book would prove vital for future generations.
It will be published in Turkish and English.
