SKOPJE (AA) - Many Turkish non-governmental organizations based in Macedonia along with political parties will stage a rally in Kosovo, Bulgaria and Turks coming from Albania to Gostivar city on Friday in support of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan upon Taksim Gezi Park protests.
Coming together over recent marginal acts and protests staged in several Turkish provinces related to Taksim Gezi Park incidents, and protests against Istanbul Municipality's Taksim construction plans, Secretary General of Democratic Party (TDP) Enver Huseyin stated they were concerned over protesters' aiming Erdogan while digressing from the actual environmentalist reasons.
Huseyin announced that they would stage a rally in Gostivar on June 14 in support of Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan upon Taksim Gezi Park protests and to tell the whole world that they stood up for Erdogan.
He also said they expected Turkish nationals living in Kosovo, Bulgaria and Albania as well as 80 thousand Turks in Macedonia to join the rally.
Anadolu Agency would air a live broadcast to all subscribers from the rally on www.aa.com.tr website, planned to take place after the Friday prayer.
