KILIS, Turkey
One person has died and seven others injured when two rockets landed in Turkey's southeastern border province of Kilis on Tuesday, according to local government sources.
It is reported that one of the rockets -- believed to have been launched from Syria -- landed in wasteland but a second hit a building, injuring eight people, one fatally.
Municipality worker, Mehmet Emin Onarici (42), who was severely wounded, died later in Kilis State Hospital.
Tuesday’s incident follows reports that several projectiles landed in Kilis late on Monday, injuring 12 people and prompting a return of fire by the Turkish military.
