A PKK terrorist suspect surrendered to Turkish security forces in the southeastern border province of Hakkari, said security sources on Thursday.
After reportedly fleeing terrorist PKK camps in northern Iraq, near Hakkari, the suspect turned him/herself over to security forces in Yesilova in the Semdinli district, said the sources, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on talking to the media.
An investigation has been launched into the matter.
Separately, police arrested a student at Anadolu University in the western province of Eskisehir for alleged involvement in the PKK/KCK terrorist organization.
The suspect, identified as Cezmi Y., was sought by the Penal Court of Peace in Cukurca, Hakkari for disrupting the unity of the state and the country's integrity.
