The Turkish military has said a total of 13 PKK terrorists in the southeastern province of Hakkari were killed during an air operation.
The Turkish General Staff on Monday released a statement saying that “a total of 13 separatist terror organization [PKK] members were neutralized” in an air operation in Hakkari's Cukurca district.
Separately, one PKK suspect was apprehended in eastern Agri province.
Since July, official figures suggest that more than 180 members of security forces have been martyred and over 1,700 PKK terrorists killed in operations across Turkey and northern Iraq, including airstrikes.
The PKK, considered a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU, renewed its armed campaign against the Turkish state this summer.
