A Turkish drone “neutralized” at least six terrorists in southeastern Turkey’s Hakkari province Thursday, according to a military source.
The military often uses the term neutralized to refer to the killing of PKK terrorists.
According to the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media, a weapons depot was also destroyed in the drone airstrike in the province’s Yuksekova district.
The number of the terrorists 'neutralized' since Aug. 4 across Hakkari was now 307, the source added.
The province has seen broad anti-terror operations since the PKK - listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and the EU - resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in July last year.
Since then, PKK terrorist attacks martyred more than 600 security personnel and also claimed the lives of many civilians, including women and children, while more than 7,000 PKK terrorists were killed in army operations.
