Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Levent Gumrukcu has said that German Chancellor Angela Merkel would visit Turkey on February 24 and 25.
Gumrukcu told reporters on Thursday that Merkel would visit Turkey as a chancellor for the third time.
During her talks in Turkey, meetings would focus on developing the commercial and economic cooperation between Turkey and Germany, said Gumrukcu, adding that a business forum would also take place.
Noting that Turkey expected Germany's contribution to revival of Turkey
EU relations as well as in advancing EU membership process, Gumrukcu recalled that France changed its stance towards Turkey and took step to open the 22nd chapter heading to accession negotiations.
