Qatar's new prime minister appointed

DOHA (AA) - Qatar's newly inaugurated emir Sheikh Tamim Hamad el Thani reshuffled the cabinet with a new decree, appointing Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Naser al-Thani also as prime minister . 

Former Prime and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim al-Thani who had been governing the small gulf country since 2007, succeeded by Halid bin Muhammed Al Atiye in Foreign Affairs Minister post.  

Deputy prime minister Ahmad bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud has kept his title like, defense, urban and housing, energy and industry, vaqf ministers. 

The new Prime and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Naser al-Thani who has studied in Britian Durham War Academy and graduated from Beirut Law school in 1995, is married with six children.
