Eleven people lost their lives and at least 35 were injured Friday as a result of regime airstrikes on opposition-controlled areas in Aleppo, a Syrian Civil Defense official said.

Ibrahim Abu Leith, from the group’s Aleppo branch, told Anadolu Agency that regime jets launched around 20 airstrikes on six opposition-controlled districts, including Majra, al-Fardos, al-Mashhad and al-Sokkari.

Abu Ammar, a local media activist, said regime jets also targeted a clinic in Majrda and a mosque in al-Fardos.

Since April 19, Russia and the Syrian regime have intensified their attacks on civilians in Aleppo’s opposition-controlled areas, leaving at least 170 dead and more than 200 injured.

According to a tally compiled by Anadolu Agency, more than 361,000 people have been killed in Syria since the conflict erupted in 2011.
