Turkey eyes energy cooperation with China
Turkey's energy and natural resources minister on a three-day visit to China

Turkey's Energy and Natural Resources Minister Berat Albayrak has coal, nuclear and renewable energy investments on his agenda during his three-day visit to China which began Tuesday.
Albayrak and head of China Development Bank, Cing Cicie, held a meeting with the participation of delegates of both sides Wednesday.
During the second meeting with director of China's National Energy Administration, Nur Bekri, Albayrak said that Turkey aims to diversify its energy sources to increase energy security.
With coal, nuclear and renewables on the top of Turkey's energy agenda, he said that "in this regard, we attach great importance to Turkey-China cooperation, we will focus on collaboration for investment".
The relations between Turkey and China began to draw closer after Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's official visit to the country last year.
Albayrak's visit to China is his first official visit to a foreign country after he took over the ministerial post.
He also plans to visit a third-generation nuclear power plant in the city of Weihai, China, during his trip.
